Korean Really Pops!

Ahn-Nyeong Hah-Seh-Yo!

We’re very grateful and thankful to all the Koreans who’d been became our guests for the past two years. Most of our Korean visitors are friendly and happy people. Some of them are good in speaking English while some are hard to speak with, we have to ask Shanna (the can-speak-Korean staff) whenever there’s a problem in communicating or we just simply use hand gestures to understand both parts. Before they leave we make sure they learn Tagalog words and we learn Korean words from them.

Few days ago, we received an e-mail from our former Korean guest saying how he misses Sabang Beach. He wants to go back to feel again the warm welcome of all the people in Sabang especially us in Oasis Resort. He promised to write an article to promote our Resort and he did! Sabang Oasis Resort has been published in the famous newspaper and website in Korea, the “MAGANDA”. It was published by Mr. Bigman telling all the great experiences he had while staying with us. He included the room prices which are very reasonable during low, high, and peak season, the facilities and amenities, helpful staff, the very friendly Loder family (the owner), and the every-night-BBQ party in the rooftop bar!

Two of The Six Egg-y

Since the “K” group arrived in the Resort they do nothing but to play all night, sleep all day. Always out somewhere living a life, always hunting, always looking for fun. So just to make their last night different, we invited Matt and Jimmy to spend the night in White Beach. That’s 20 minute drive from Sabang Beach.White Beach is the most popular of Puerto Galera’s 32 beaches. It's the scene of many concerts and festivals organized by big corporations like San Miguel, Tanduay, Smart and Globe. At dawn, people sit at the beach to witness one of the best sunsets in the country. At night, more people come out to enjoy meals at beachfront restaurants. There are several open-air bars with "gay dancers" and serving Puerto Galera’s trademark concoction, "Mindoro Sling". There are also many tattoo shops and souvenir shops along White Beach.
The other boys have plans of their own so we just decided to go even without them. We are seven in our group- Viola, Jenny, Shanna, Naneth, Matt, Jimmy and meeeeee!
We ride in a motorcycle locally known as habal-habal.The Habal-Habal is a motorcycle modified to seat more than two persons. We watched fire dance/poi dance, lots of lady boy dancing and they are very good dancers as Jimmy commented. We ordered drinks, Mindoro Sling ( served with slices of apple, mix of rhum, orange juice, mango juice, grenadine syrup and Sprite) for us and Tonic for Jimmy (lol). Said he won’t drink too much because they are leaving early the next day unlike Matt who even tried to show off by drinking Mindoro Sling in a pitcher. Matt that time seems a little mentally off haha (and now I know he really is!)
We also ordered pork BBQ and “balut”. It’s an Asian delicacy, balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. We wanted them to try balut just for fun’s sake but they are soooo not into it. Viola even showed them the “little guy” inside the egg and Matt is like freaking out and wanted to throw up (lol). He’s overreacting, duh!!

There are also fishermen that evening; they helped pull the fishing net to the shore. There’s not so lot of fishes- tuna, GG and butete ;) Matt and Jimmy played with those fishes (way too old to act like kids haha). There are not much people around that evening because there’s no big event happening like Rockbands perform which was expected by Jimmy. After White Beach we went to Karaoke Bar. They ordered of course drinks and finger foods. Jimmy sang a Tagalog song with Shanna. The title of that song is “Kasalanan Bang Mahalin Ka Nang Lubusan” (he’s very good at singing haha). We just stayed for almost half an hour; we ride in a tricycle back to the Resort. It was a nonsense but FUN experience with our guests (lol). We are looking forward to see them again and hopefully Matt will try to eat “balut” (said he’s afraid of nothing…well, let’s see who laughs last!haha) Hope there’s not much they don’t enjoy.

KALBO GROUP =c)

Neil Parkes is our new guest from England. He's with five more "exceptionally good looking guys" haha. "I'm here for holiday with my friends. Love the room , cleaned daily and the staffs are very friendly and very helpful". I'll come back maybe on November.

SPLASHY SUMMER

Summer is about “bikini” for the girls to make the weather even HOTTER
and “water sports” for the boys to make themselves look COOL on their surf shorts.

Well, summer is really all about the hitting the beach with your pals.
It is time to prepare your three S’es- swimsuits, shades, sunblock :)
Take time off from work and plan a summer road trip to Puerto Galera and experience a few days (weeks) of pampering.

Puerto Galera may not be as famous as Boracay but it’s the same fun you can ever experience. It was even declared as one of the most beautiful bay in the world.
It’s a place where you can enjoy every minute (and every sec) of your stay. Have a bite of Puerto Galera’s tourism attractions that can make you feel “great” and can make you say “wow!” There are a lot of water sports activities like wind surfing, wake boarding, water skiing (in Boquete), sea kayaking, yachting/sailing, snorkeling, banana boat and trekking. Perfect for those who needs to recharge from the busy living, for those who seek relaxation, and for those who wants to beat the summer heat!

Sabang Oasis Resort is located at Sabang Beach which offers excellence in amenities.
It is open for all foreign and local tourists. With complete facilities in each room, has a sea- facing rooftop where you can see stunning views,
enjoy a dip in the pool and a Seascape Bar for your types of drinks. Glass bottom boat is also available for beach BBQs and picnics. It is perfect for barkada trip, family gatherings and reunions. It fits your budget and its worth every peso.

There’s helluva lot more to experience in Puerto Galera
so take a break form the city life, have some me-time,
wear your sexiest bikini (and surf shorts), and go have fun under the sun because the heat is on!

Happy Hot Summer! :)

Romantic Getaway

It’s love month once again!
So what’s your plan?
Go in a fine dining restaurant?
Watch movies together?
Buy her dozen of roses?
Give him dozen of kisses?
Zzz…
Aren’t you bored in the usual way of celebrating Valentine’s Day with your partner?
Show your adventuresome spirit this hearts season.

Island escapes is the best way to celebrate love month.
And when I’m talking about island...Puerto Galera is definitely the place to be.
White sand beach, clear waters, stunning views and lots of water sports activities that you’ll surely enjoy with your loved ones.
Valentine’s is not only for couples to celebrate, it’s even better for those “loveless” who’s kinda soul searching type. Puerto Galera is perfect for someone who simply want to relax, want a change of scenery and a change of ambiance.
But being single doesn’t mean you’re the biggest loser ever. You need a social time, come on!
There’s a real night life here and it’s a whole lotta fun.
Go meet new friends through clubbing, party all night, drink and get drunk, go live a life!

There’s a bunch of reasons to celebrate love month in Puerto Galera.
Change your romantic BUT BORING bonding ritual to something adventurous.
And for those who are still looking for “the one”...you might bump into someone
while taking a walk in the shore side.
Hmm… I smell romance in the air.

Happy Valentine’s everyone!

Feedbacks From Our Guests

Corazon Rosinger and Engineer Reinhart Rosinger from Austria are regular visitors of Sabang Oasis Resort.
“We come to Sabang since 1992, every year. We like the Sabang Beach, the sunny weather, it’s like our second hometown already besides knowing almost everybody here. We’ve been in Sabang Oasis Resort twice, we like it very much, it’s right at the heart of Sabang, just close to everything…church, market, restaurants, dive shops, schools, grocery shops, and it’s only 15 minute-drive to Puerto Galera, the town proper. The room is spacious and well ventilated, and complete with basic amenities. The facilities are normally kept clean and in order. The staffs are all friendly, helpful and approachable. Would like to continue to stay from November ‘till April for the next years.”

Mika Elf from Finland stayed with us for two weeks. He’s a scuba diver and a traveler who loves to take photos of everything. I was amazed by every subject he captured. He’s not a photographer BUT in his every shot he has a potential of becoming one.
“It’s my first time here in Sabang Beach. I was invited by my friends, Chris and Mikael. Here because of scuba diving, good nightlife, very beautiful Puerto Galera area, the sun and temperature. I like Sabang Oasis, it’s new and clean. Internet access in the room is very good. The staffs are all friendly. I’ll be back here for sure.”

Mikael Junes is also a regular visitor of our resort, he’s from Sweden.
“I’ve been here five to six times already. Here for vacation, to relax and for my “monkey business” (we all play little games, don’t we?) Sabang Oasis Resort is very nice and so are the facilities. I love the people here, very warm and nice. I’ll be coming back here with my friends by the end of February.

Garth Robinson, from Australia stayed with us for eight days. Sir Garth is one of the guests I’ll never forget. He’s very nice, he’s always joking, he always laughs, and he loves karaoke. I remember when he feels very grateful for the free drink I served to him. (Please know how much I appreciate the “shawarma”LOL!). Konrad Robinson, Sir Garth’s son, spent his eight days for his diving course. Hope he learned a lot. It’s his first time to travel here in the Philippines. “The room and the facilities are great but would love BBQ’s next to pool.” They will be back by the month of June. (Can’t wait to see you two).

HOLIDAY ESCAPADE

"The busiest men have the most leisure."
You're spending long nights in the office, sitting in the cubicle, eyes on the computer screen, doing presentations and reports for your client. You feel like exploding. Your brain refuses to work and you're too tired.
Nowadays, people are so busy in their way of life. Hands on moms are working 24/7 for their families and even the students are stuck doing thesis and other paperworks.
We all need time to rest. We cannot do lots of things in just a snap. We're not superheroes.
Why don't you go on vacation with your families and friends, a vacation away from the routine and daily chores. Afterall, the busiest men need a pampered experience.
